TwonkyMedia locates all music, picture and video content in a directory tree and shares the files using the UPnP AV protocol. TwonkyMusic is similar to TwonkyMedia but restricted to music content. TwonkyMusic and TwonkyMedia are available for Windows, Linux, MAC-OS and a number of NAS devices.

TwonkyMedia enables all UPnP AV (DLNA) compliant client devices in the network to Browse, Search and Stream the files. Such devices are typically Media Receivers like the Netgear MP 101. But also PC software like on2share (Windows Media Player plugin), Nero Showtime can be used to access the server (see the full device compatibility list). In addition to the local content the server also supports Internet Radio Stations which can be shared via the network!
